Abstractions


I have always been inspired by color and texture. My paintings are made of oil paint, dry pigments and cold wax medium mixed and applied in layers and layers. Mark making creates the texture and energy, along with using brayers and scrapers to add and subtract while finding the final impression. This has allowed me to find new depth in my work. Each piece is very different and there are nuances that happen along the way between the color, form and essential image that give them their voice.
